I went in for a requested style&

Pricing and to the disappointment there was uneven parting, loose hairs around my scalp and braids. wasn’t even close to what I was asking for. I expected my stylist to be No communication no in between breaks to see progress. If so overconfident ( cocky) and didn’t feel comfortable doing my specific request then communicate better. Overall not the greatest experience and wasted money.

This place is truly the definition of you get what you pay for. The last few times I went that women who did my hair were rough as shit with me , the last time I went which was very recent the lady didn't even do the design I wanted, AND made it look a bit crooked. Plus not to mention most of em seem like they don't know what they're doing. So all in all do NOT come to this place you're better off going somewhere else.

It was my first time going to this shop and I was so happy with my hair. I experienced great service and quality work. I got smedium knotless braids and it only took them 4 hours!

My hair looks great! However, after paying the amount that was emailed to me after booking online, an employee(?) came out stating that I needed to pay an additional $20 for "hair". I asked if it was because my hair was thick and she said "no". So I asked if it was for the hair that was used during the appointment and she said "yes". That information was not communicated to me before or during the appointment, and it is not listed in their policy. In addition, I have never been to a braid shop that didn't provide hair. Had that been communicated, I would have brought hair from home. I don't see myself returning in the future, as I feel like the last minute charge AFTER I had already left out of out of the shop was unprofessional.

Interesting. Most shops that I go to charge $5/pk if you do not bring your own hair. I am not sure what happened at your appointment, but Laura is always open about the pricing and the quality of hair that she used. If possible, never give stylists your card info unless they use a platform like StyleSeat. You may need it to book, but try to pay in cash.
